Unlike enclosed impellers, open impellers remove the bottom shroud, allowing the exposed impeller vanes to work with the bowl’s internal surface to create a clear flow passage that is ideal for handling difficult fluids. Additionally, the flow and head can be managed as needed with the adjustment of the impeller setting
