Gov. Greg Abbott signed historic water infrastructure legislation Wednesday, aiming to invest over $20 billion to the state’s water fund over the next 22 years. Abbott signed the bill at SIMFLO, a pump manufacturing facility in Lubbock.

Dick Kampfen, 82, is a 65-year veteran of the industry, starting as a self-employed general engineering contractor to now serving as executive vice president of SIMFLO. This facility features one of the largest and most advanced vertical turbine test setups in North America, equipped with cutting-edge technology developed by fellow Lubbock company, SitePro, Inc.

Lubbock-based SIMFLO, one of the nation’s providers of industrial, municipal, and commercial and agricultural-use pumps, has added industry-changing, first-of-its-kind innovative technology to its new Engineered Products Facility, which features one of the largest and most advanced vertical turbine test facilities in North America.
SIMFLO, a provider of industrial, municipal and commercial-use pumps, has completed construction and officially opened the doors to its new, state-of-the-art, 40,500-square-foot facility in Southaven, Mississippi.

Officials in Southaven and DeSoto County had a chance to tour the inside of the newly remodeled 40,000 square foot SIMFLO facility. The Lubbock, Texas-based company manufactures industrial, municipal, and commercial-use pumps, and added the Southaven location back in August 2023.
